About HVAC in Fort Washington, MD

Humid summers and a lot of attic ductwork make an awkward combination in Fort Washington, MD.

Ducts running through an attic that reaches well above outdoor temperature lose cooling before the air arrives, and any leak on the return side pulls hot, humid attic air straight into the system. It is one of the most common reasons a correctly sized system still fails to keep a second floor comfortable.

What we do

• Duct sealing and insulation. Often the highest-value work available in these houses, and routinely skipped in favour of new equipment.
• Cooling. Sized by load calculation with dehumidification treated as a design requirement. Oversized systems leave the house cool and damp.
• Repair. Diagnosis before quoting. Pao Card finds failed capacitors, blocked condensate drains that back up into pans, and refrigerant leaks that developed over a season.
• Heating. Winters here need real capacity without being severe, which makes heat pumps a reasonable option for many properties.

How we work

Written pricing before work begins. Technicians who show you what failed and explain it plainly. Honest guidance on repair versus replace, including when the ducts rather than the equipment are the limit.
